In light of the current Covid-19 restrictions we have been instructed to close our doors from Thursday November 5th 2020. By forcing us to close we feel that this is a harsh and unjust blow and detrimental to the health of the nation.

We are an independent community gym, a people’s gym, not a large commercial gym. This particular blow by the government will hurt us massively along with all local small businesses. However, as with the last lockdown we plan to use the closure as an opportunity to improve the club.

We know how hard this will affect all our members and the wider community.

However, even though our doors may be closed – we are always open, so please do not hesitate to contact us anytime. We are still here for you no matter what. We have received so many messages of support from you, our members, and this has blown us away. Messages complementing our team and the effort they have put in to keep everyone safe.

We really appreciate our members, we love chatting and getting to know you whilst supporting you on your health and fitness journey. So many members have become our friends.


Not only do we help motivate you, but you motivate us too and we want to thank you for that. Over the next four weeks we will miss you and cannot wait to welcome you all back.

In the meantime, we will be providing online content via our social media pages, you can also access thousands of workout videos on ‘The Fit Club – Redditch’ app. Together we will look after our physical and mental fitness.

In light of the above we are asking all members how they would like us to handle their Direct Debit situation for the next month. All members will be receiving an email on Monday evening from Ashbourne (please look out for it).


Simply select one of the options below.

  1. Continue to pay your Direct Debit in the normal way, so that your club can retain key staff and continue to invest in you. If you are happy with this option, no further action is required by you.
  2. Freeze your Direct Debit.
  3. Continue to pay your Direct Debit on the due date but pay 50% of the monthly amount to support your club.

If you would like  to select option 2 or 3 you can simply select it in Ashbourne’s email.

If you would like to continue your direct debit and support the club, you do not need to do anything.

If you paid in full we will of course credit it your account with any time lost.

To the members who chose to continue to support us, we can only express how grateful we are. If you can’t, we completely understand as times are hard for everyone. Just like last time, we will be putting it back into the gym to make our facilities and team even better for your return. Watch this space!
